Working and delivering the Settle Programme

We work in formal partnership with Local Authorities and supported accommodation providers and informally with other charities to identify and support care experienced young people as they transition to independent living and help them to thrive.

Working together to prevent youth homelessness before it starts

Hear from young people, Settle coaches and partners about the Settle Programme. Through one‑to‑one coaching, practical support and strong collaboration with local authorities, Settle helps young people build confidence, stability and independence when they need it most.

Working with Local Authorities and supported accommodation providers

Settle works with Local Authorities across London via their Leaving Care and Housing teams to identify young people as they move on to independent accommodation. We also take referrals from supported accommodation providers and from charities supporting young people with related issues. In some cases we work with young people prior to moving on: this works best when there is a clear plan for move-on in the weeks ahead. Working with young people in the midst of this transition ensures they are able to get the most from Settle coaching and can immediately put into practice the new skills they are developing.

Since 2019, 100% of our Local Authority partners have renewed their contracts with us.

We also welcome informal partnerships with charities and other organisations supporting care experienced young people aged 18-25 who would benefit from support around moving on.

If you would like to explore working together to offer the Settle programme to more young people, please reach out to our partnerships team at [email protected]. We will be happy to arrange an initial meeting to discuss your needs and what Settle can offer.
